Week 13: User Testing

Last week made us think again about one of the purposes we started with the idea of our venture. An important principle was to enhance the learning process while solving the issue the elderly have with the volunteer. We knew user testing must be conducted in order to find out what's best for them, in terms of maintaining the information given to them.

In order to make some tests, we made a short questionnaire:

We found that the elderly prefer a PDF file (or docs.). They stated that:

1. They do have email addresses that it is usable

2. They like written instructions

3. They do prefer written instructions on a physical page, rather on the computer

As a result, we are continuing to create a template of instructions that the volunteer will give the elderly after the session. We want those templates to be accessible, easy to read, and understandable.

We are also trying to make a research regarding the UI - what is the most preferable font size, font color, etc.

Thoughts

In these days and in general, we know that giving and getting feedback is crucial to the success of the venture, so in the meantime, we are establishing KPI criteria, and in addition, we are thinking about what is the best mechanism to give feedback to the volunteer (whether the help he gave was valuable, was he understandable).
