Push the button!

After a long journey of changing ideas through the Covid-19 and as a result of the new situation, we checked what is best for our elderly users. Our inspiration for this special button originally came from the "Dash button" of Amazon. We made the first prototype of the button. First, we made three separate buttons that were used for different technological options, but after a number of user testings, we decided to change it into one main button. It is a big button with the word "DoubleU" written on it, and when the elderly user presses on it, it sends a notification automatically to the volunteer's app. The button has a magnet that the elderly can put on their own fridge at home and use it on a daily basis in a simple way. We still have a long way to go to make it the most intuitive and useful button, but we know it is an important process that will take time
